The Mayor's Office of Las Tablas regulates the celebration of events, parties, and public or private recreational activities in the district. The decree establishes the requirements for requesting permits, the need for security measures, environmental protection, noise control, and penalties for non-compliance. Procedures for temporary events are specified, with exceptions for private family celebrations and local traditions such as those of 'Calle Abajo' or 'Calle Arriba'.

The Ministry of Environment (MiAMBIENTE) approves, through Resolution DM-0458-2026, the management plan for the Refugio de Vida Silvestre Pablo Arturo Barrios, located in the Pedasí district, Los Santos province. The plan establishes the technical, administrative, and citizen participation guidelines for the conservation, restoration, and sustainable use of its ecosystems over a ten-year period (2026-2036). The document defines an ecological zoning scheme (including conservation, controlled marine-coastal use, shared management, public use, and buffer zones) and seven management programs focused on ecological restoration, control and surveillance, environmental education, sustainable tourism, research, climate change adaptation, and institutional governance. The estimated investment for the plan's implementation over its ten-year duration is 2,151,160.00 Balboas, supported by a participatory governance model and strategic alliances with local organizations such as the Fundación Pro Eco Azuero.

The Municipality of Arraiján grants an exemption from taxes, fees, and charges to the Junta Comunal de Vacamonte for the 'MUNDIAL VACAMONTE' event (sale of food, beverages, music, and entertainment) to be held from July 11 to October 11, 2026, at various sports fields within the district. Funds raised will benefit the local community.

The Junta Comunal de Vista Alegre is exempted from taxes and fees for a 'BINGO' event (including the sale of food and drinks) to be held on August 1, 2026, at the Barriada La Reina Park. Proceeds are intended for the renovation of the park.

The Junta Comunal de Nuevo Emperador is exempted from taxes and fees for the 'VOLEIBOL MIXTO' event to be held at the Nuevo Emperador sports field from August 28 to October 23, 2026. Proceeds will fund expenses for the November 4, 2026, parade.

Tax and fee exemption granted to Mr. Luis Oscar Carrasquilla for the 'ACTIVIDAD BAILABLE' event at Plaza Los Cobolos, Corregimiento of Juan Demóstenes Arosemena, held on July 24, 2026. Proceeds will be used to cover the beneficiary's medical examination expenses.

Tax and fee exemption for the 'TARDE CRIOLLA' event organized by the Junta Comunal de Cerro Silvestre, to be held on July 25, 2026, at the Casa Cultural Los Ocueños to present the Queen of Customs and Traditions of Manito Ocueño. Proceeds will support community projects.

Due to the pandemic and mobility restrictions, the Municipality of Barú is amending its 2021 budget to reallocate B/. 15,000.00 from a previous project (Improvement of KM32 sports field) into the operating expense budget, allowing the municipality to meet its financial commitments.

The Municipal Council approves an investment budget of B/. 414,566.75 for the year 2023. This includes various infrastructure projects such as the improvement of sports fields, schools, churches, and roads in several communities within the district of Barú.
